Programmer / Web Developer @ From August 2012 to Present (3 years 4 months) Kansas City, Missouri AreaFounder / Lead Engineer @ This is a project site that I created to host projects that I developed. Over the years, it has gone from my main site that I practiced web site development on to not being active. Mostly this exists for projects that I do on my own for this site that I don't feel comfortable placing elsewhere. From June 2002 to Present (13 years 6 months) Web Site Engineer @ Manage the technical, back-end, and front-end aspects of the official site.
Maintain legacy code for the directory web site.
Build the applications that power the creation of multiple informational sites.
Provide technical assistance to possible solutions and help implement the solutions.
Manage version control (SVN) service and release manager for deployments. From May 2007 to June 2012 (5 years 2 months) Founder / Web Site Engineer @ Not a company, but a project site devoted to the persistent browser-based game development. There are few games in development with two other developers helping.
The company is no longer active and the projects have been put on hold for a long time. I will still develop them, but I needed this time to learn graphics and how to better develop them. Also the state of the web at this time is a lot better than it was 6-8 years ago. I'd rather use current technology to make the games shine than the text MUD games they would have been 8 years ago. From January 2004 to June 2010 (6 years 6 months) Community Member @ I was a community member of WordPress; helping with ideas and supporting questions on the mailing lists.
I worked on patches for tickets on the WordPress Trac web site. I've written patches for issues with the Plugin API, localization fixes, and developed the HTTP API.
I was committed to improving the quality assurance in WordPress. I wrote inline documentation restarting the community effort, which continues to this day. I've also written test suites for automated testings for WordPress and written test cases and test suites for the Automattic WordPress Tests test case repository.
I was not a core developer, just a member of the community of many fantastic, intelligent, hard working individuals that helped improve WordPress. From August 2007 to October 2009 (2 years 3 months) Web Site Engineer @ Developer working on Astrum Futura persistent browser-based game helping with Zend Framework, ideas, and general development.
