Since 2006 I have been accountable for EMEIA SAP at Apple as part of a highly efficient global IT organisation. In this role I led a cross-funtional team located across three continents through successful delivery of projects with budgets ranging from £250k to £3M. Scaling was a constant challenge with 6x revenue growth over a five year period and huge peaks in demand at new product launch. As the global IT contact for international expansion I influenced top-level decision-making and engaged stakeholders at all levels of the organisation. I am passionate about people development and championed process improvement as part of either the global SAP management team or the regional IS&T management team. I was an active member of the SAP collaboration forum and the client representative for their globalisation workstream.
Prior to Apple I was a consultant at IBM and managed projects with budgets up to £27M and was known for my track record of delivering complex projects, I was given two service excellence awards for my achievements. I appreciated the need to guard the critical path, remove roadblocks, ensure adequate resourcing, anticipate threats, ensure scope was aligned to business benefit and to escalate when appropriate. Outside of my delivery role I was an active member of the organisation contributing to many internal activities. I organised the SAP PP special interest group for two years and was the subject matter expert for planning. I applied my knowledge gained as a new product planning manager in a semiconductor company to present a process overview at a conference on new product introductions. I was the budget manager for a major project at Unilever and part of two proposal teams. As a people manager for twelve consultants with responsibility for their management and career development.
