I am working on my PhD in Parallel Software Technologies Laboratory (PSTL) at the University of Houston. My research advisor is Dr. Edgar Gabriel. My research is in High Performance Computing (HPC), and more specifically focused on high performance I/O for distributed memory systems using MPI.
Projects that I am interested in include OMPIO (Open MPI I/O library developed in our lab) and HPX (High Performance ParalleX) legacy support for MPI. (You can read more about ParalleX under the projects section).
I have contributed to development of support for Lustre and PVFS2 file systems in Open MPI library. I have also developed and integrated support for PLFS file system to Open MPI library.
Due to the nature of my research, I have been exposed to computer clusters, management and maintenance of them.
I was in intern at Dell's HPC team during summer 2015. Working for the world's largest private technology company was exhilarating and fun!
