Senior Programmer @ Cryptic Studios XBox Port, PS4 Port, and Core technology group issues, From September 2013 to March 2017 (3 years 7 months) Developer, National office @ Ernst & Young Developed "AI" software for this firm to help their audits. Discovered that if I wanted to not work in finance at that time in the 1980's I had to move out of New York, although if I stayed I would have been "making 6 figures in two years", and 7 or even 8 figures by now: but at least I am now performing a valid service for the country (creating art), instead of mooching off the labor of others. From 1984 to 1985 (1 year) Senior Engineer @ Electronic Arts Titles:Pets (Gamecube/PS2) Fixed bugs and optimized Game Cube.My Sims I (Wii): worked on UI, save game, minor systemsSim Animals (Wii) - least favorite title I have ever worked onSim Animals Africa (Wii) - Sims 3 3DS.... I got to write a lot of code in order to fit the game on this terribly slow piece of hardware. This project was fun.Sims 4 Got to work on clustered servers, chat systems, scaling and performance, and other internet style stuff when it was an internet based game. Also became python internals guru. Sim City. Developed web pages and set up bug system.Sims 4. Optimization. From March 2006 to August 2014 (8 years 6 months) Senior Developer @ Namco Bandai Games America Inc Pac-Man World 1 , Pac-Man World 2, Kill-Switch, Ms. Pac-Man Maze Madness, Kill.Switch, also helped with Dead To Rights. Invented the cover system in Kill.Switch ... basically by turning a version of Dead To Rights into a third person shooter.... which has been used in other shooters since then.... most notably Gears of War, and even a more direct copy, Mass Effect 2.The Adversary was canceled in a poor management decision but you can see some screenshots on Jon Mundy's web site : http://www.telefi.net/Games/CityUnderSiege/CUS.htmNamco has not shipped any games developed internally in America since I left, even though the poor manager was fired, I hope they ship some soon. Update: Afro Samurai was shipped. From 1996 to 2006 (10 years) Programmer @ Electronic Arts Mutant League, plus some work on golf titles.I left EA because at that time working at EA was incompatible with having a small baby. I think they have changed their ways. From 1992 to 1994 (2 years) Programmer @ Epyx The times of the two person game development teams are over now, but not in those days. California Games, The Lynx handheld (xenophobe), Winter and Summer games. Epyx was bankrupt but kept going, (due to the Lynx costs of production, Atari and their business practices, and VCR games), but kept me and 14 others. I stayed until I went to go work at EA, making Xenophobe for lynx."Bible Games" brought them out of bankruptcy (thanks to Peter Engelbrite, as an atheist, I couldn't write this game), and I finally got paid for my missing week of vacation pay. From 1988 to 1992 (4 years) Independent Contractor @ Mindscape Ported Balance of Power to the Apple ][ from the Macintosh. Balance of Power was the sort of game I thought I would make: intelligent, reviewed by the New York Times, and pregnant with historical themes. However, I am better known for Mutant League Football and Pac-Man-World. From 1985 to 1986 (1 year) Senior Software Engineer @ DeepMap, Inc. DeepMap is a stealth yet very hot start-up in the self-driving car business. Mountain View, CA
