Based in London, I launched a new venture capital firm called Felix Capital, operating at the intersection of technology and creativity. Our 1st fund was raised in a few months and closed at the hard cap at $120m, with commitments in excess of this amount. Felix's strategy is to invest in digital lifestyle, backing new digital brands and related enabling technologies, in Europe and selectively in the US. The investment strategy is in line with investments I made previously including Farfetch (an online fashion marketplace, currently valued at $1bn and where he was the first investor), Zong (mobile payments, sold to eBay for $240m), Vitrue (social media marketing, acquired by Oracle for $310m), Dailymotion (online video platform, now part of Vivendi), or Qype (now Yelp).
I have worked in the technology industry for nearly 20 years, working in France, the UK, Italy and the US. I have been a VC since 2001, first with Advent Venture Partners as General Partner, and also investing personally as an angel (Reformation, Illumio, Feedly, Peak, Combatant Gentlemen, etc.). In 2012 I was honored to be named "Investor of the Year" in Europe by my peers at the Investor All Stars event.
Previously I was an entrepreneur in France, building a VC-backed online marketplace for the textile industry, and before that a technology banker in London and New-York with Lazard.
