Payroll Clerk @ Acting interim Payroll Manager covering Maternity Leave as well as usual Clerk duties.
• Administrator of 100+ monthly, 3 four weekly, 2 fortnightly and 18 weekly payrolls using Sage 50 payroll.
• Quarterly processing of over 400 director payrolls and the main contact for over 200 directors, working on Iris Accountancy software to incorporate Personal Taxation.
• Implementation of new payrolls inclusive of internal Accounts clients, resolving client's queries from the outset of the payroll set up and inclusive of external data handed from other firms.
• Requesting set up of new PAYE schemes from HMRC, issue of 64-8 for Agent authorisation to act on behalf of clients and use of the government gateway for new clients.
• Processing Attachment of Earnings and hence managing payments to third parties in respect of Child Support (CSA) and Council Tax.
• Balancing journals as part of payroll process and calculating dividend tax credits, issuing dividend vouchers.
• Running CIS scheme and submission of monthly returns to HMRC for 12 clients in respect of CIS deducted, issuing Statements of Payment and Deduction for all subcontractors.
• EPS submissions for CIS suffered and offsets made against client PAYE liabilities
• Legislation application for SMP, SSP, SPP, claims for Maternity/Paternity pay and confidence with tax and CIS refunds, PAYE overpayments and underpayments requested from HMRC.
• Running of holiday schemes for large and small clients, calculating casual holiday accruals as well as maintaining accruals for contracted employees. Compliant with latest legislation, competent with compulsory overtime and commission holiday calculations.
• Running employee and employer pension schemes and offering support to small clients, ensuring compliance with auto-enrolment demands for clients approaching staging dates.
• Initial assessments for auto-enrolled clients, as well as running ongoing assessments for staged clients. From October 2014 to Present (1 year 1 month) Junior UK Payroll Specialist @ Responsibility of processing a combination of eleven weekly and monthly payrolls.
