I discovered a huge potential in the UR robots because they are significantly easier and cheaper to install, use and program compared with traditional industrial robots. Within a few years, we have created a spectacular growth and expansion of Universal Robots. I have combined many years of experience in management with in-depth knowledge within automation and production processes. I began my career as a management trainee with the shipping company A.P. Moeller/Maersk in Copenhagen, Denmark’s largest company. Subsequently, I have held various positions within the group, including a period as Operations Manager with Maersk, Inc. in New York, USA, before studying for a degree in business administration at the University of Southern Denmark in Odense. Before joining Universal Robots, I was partner and Sales Director at Krog Iversen & Co. A/S (today Scan A/S), the largest manufacturer of heating stoves in Denmark. In this position I was responsible for the company’s international expansion and therefore played a significant role in the company’s strong growth.
