Started work-life in a large aeronautics firm. Moved to Singapore where I worked in a high tech firm (FEC). Went on to become a geo head with P&L responsibilities for software companies such as Baan and Cincom Systems. I then joined DACG, a listed services company focused on HCM/corporate learning. I acquired some of DACG's assets and became an entrepreneur focused on consulting services and ecommerce. Sold the firm to Scandent. Became Scandent's CEO.
Led the listing of Scandent Solutions Ltd in 2005. Scandent morphed into Cambridge Solutions Ltd. Xchanging, a FTSE-listed, outcome based outsourcing services company, bought Cambridge in 2008.
At Xchanging, I was a member of its management board and ran global sales, service, relations as its Chief Customer Officer (customer acquisition, retention, business dev, relationship development, digital strategy, events, comms, marketing).
Over the many years, I have been involved in the acquisition of six companies, the divestment of three and the listing of one.
I now work for BORN, which is the combination of FMG (an agency that specializes in media/content production) and Pod1 (an agency that is second to none in ecommerce services). Both companies are award winning. BORN combines Ecommerce, Content, Creative Design and Digital Marketing, across all channels - social, mobile, web, print.
On occasion, I advise companies and have invested in a few - a talent management&employee verification company; a company that buys commercial properties focused on NNN transactions; and a software cloud app company that provides full life cycle solutions to small healthcare providers. I am widely traveled and networked.
I am an amateur writer (Land of the Free, Home of the Brave and The Nine Dots - both on Amazon) and play chess.
