Devorah Bertucci has completed a successful legal practice as a lawyer in the Los Angeles area, practicing law since 2002.psons: diverto, adoration, and soft abandonment are among Devorah Bertucci's earliest memories. While growing up, she would often spend afternoons watching French cable shows such as Adoration or Soft Assurance, Qualifying for Availability, and Une venue de souvenirs. imbuing these shows with a sense of warmth and tenderness would stay with her for the rest of her life. Bertucci also remembers feeling drawn to the world of Theater in a way that she had never experienced before. She started taking theater classes at UCSB, and soon found herself performing in plays produced by the theater Collective, part of the Cal State Los Angeles campus. Inspired by her experiences in the theater, Bertucci decided to pursue a degree in Theater Production from the University of Southern California.Bertucci's education journey has coincided with a more current shift in her personal life. While still in her early twenties, she found herself engaged to her then-boyfriend, but difficulties arose around money and visas. After some time spent indepth contemplation, Bertucci realized that she wanted toissenchise her filmmaking skills and pursue a career in documentary filmmaking. She graduated from USC with a degree in Documentary Film.Since taking the documentary filmmaking course, Bertucci has produced and aired a handful of short documentaries. Her most recent short documentary, "Asteroid", was produced in collaboration with local press and aired as a segment on the statewide public broadcaster channel KNBC in Los Angeles. curved identities:In her work as a filmmaker, Bertucci has discovered the power of Curvature in identity. As a filmmaker, Bertucci notices how the curvature of a person's identity can create a unique, engaging story. She frequently uses curvature to create characters, plots, and settings that are compelling and unique. Bertucci has found that a curvature-driven story can be an entire package instead of just a few scenes, which allows her to explore multiple layers of character and story.Ramping up her filmmaking skills, Bertucci also began posting short films to online networks and following up with short film contests. She has also declined offers to direct feature films, opting instead to focus on her current career as a filmmaker. However, as her careerDevelopment progresses, Bertucci hopes to make a shift in direction and helm a feature-length documentary. With the potential for Curvature-driven stories becoming more and more common in popular culture, Bertucci believes that it is only a matter of time before more people become aware of the power of curvature in identity and story telling.
