My passion for working in the retail environment started 19 years ago, when I was recruited from college to start on an Executive Management Training program in Dallas TX, where eventually worked my way to General Manager and running a $133 million Walmart Supercenter. Working with and mentoring retail associates, across all levels, allowed me to develop my skills in problem solving, building inclusive teams and helping my team members contribute to winning awards and exceeding company performance measurements. I am also adept at navigating and building relationships with company leaders to drive performance.  BUILDING INCLUSIVE TEAMS/TALENT DEVELOPMENT I believe in creating environments where associates see a path to investing in retail as a career. As a General Manager, it’s critical to connect with employees at every level in a store. From September 2011 to July 2013 (1 year 11 months) Houston, Texas AreaStore Manager @ As a store manager with Lowe's the team achieved top sales performance in the district by increasing sales over 11% through intensified customer service, merchandise presentation, reduced inventory shrinkage, and effective merchandise focus to drive sales. While at this location we achieved most improved associate satisfaction survey in the district. I also coached and developed three assistant managers to store manager positions.
