Scientist II - Product Development/Formulation @ Responsibilities: Formulated emulsion based Cosmetic and OTC products for skincare brands including RoC, Neutrogena, and Aveeno in the facial moisture, sun care, and anti-aging categories. Cross-functionally collaborated with various R&D and manufacturing groups to ensure quality and uphold project timelines. Maintained a GMP/GLP complaint environment.
Accomplishments: Innovated new formulation technologies in anti-aging and sun care (patent application in progress). Improved cost margins by refining formulas while preserving product efficacy/aesthetics. From September 2011 to Present (4 years 4 months) Graduate of the J&J Research and Development Leadership Program (RDLP) @ A rotational program within Skincare R&D for brands such as Neutrogena, RoC, Aveeno, and Clean & Clear, consisting of a one-year assignment in both Scientific Affairs and Product Development/Formulation aimed to develop high-performing, well rounded R&D leaders. From June 2010 to June 2012 (2 years 1 month) Scientist I - Scientific Affairs @ Responsibilities: Innovated/supported clinical testing and product claims development for products across all J&J skincare brands and product categories. Organized in-house and external product efficacy studies and translated those test results into consumer-identifiable claims.
Accomplishments: Achieved chartered claims of four calendarized/launched projects and innovated six test methods/study protocols. Developed and managed a project efficiency tracker that organizes key project metrics and manages resources. Implemented on-site imaging technology for skin physiology measurements. From June 2010 to September 2011 (1 year 4 months) Undergraduate Neurophysiology Researcher @ I am a volunteer undergraduate Researcher under Dr. Barbour. I use MATLAB to analyze neuronal waveforms from the auditory recorded from marmoset monkeys. My research involves characterizing these extracellular waveforms based on their physiological characteristics and in particular the phenomenon known as an IS-SD break. From January 2008 to October 2010 (2 years 10 months) Systems Development Center Intern @ I worked as an intern in the Systems Development Center at Raytheon SAS in El Segundo. I worked in the Advanced Air to Air section under Harold Yuan. I was responsible for collaborating efforts with the Enterprise Management System (EMS) to organize process documentation and command media. More specifically I facilitated changes in written directives and consolidated/eliminated redundant and obsolete site-specific command media. I also received thorough training in airborne radar and other RF technology. From June 2009 to August 2009 (3 months)
