I am responsible for managing, developing and mentoring the IT team, to ensure that both internal and external clients are fully supported. Gateley's has offices in Birmingham, Manchester, London, Nottingham, Leicester, Leeds and Dubai.
Brought on board to provide IT leadership, direction and experience to an organisation lacking in the strategic management of technology. IT was run jointly by an FD and IT Manager, whom had been part of the Firm for many years. Swiftly invited to join the Operations Board as a trusted member of the team, reviewing high cost business processes and high time consumers, with a view to streamlining and making efficiencies.
A key focus has been to professionalise IT in terms of people process and governance, via an IT transformation programme which has had noticeable effect. This has involved an introduction of an in house developed CRM solution, plot sales workflows, and extranets. The overall aim is to maximise profit by reducing operating costs, freeing up the fee earners time from mundane repetitive tasks to carry out higher value work.
Undertaken an infrastructure refresh including a £400k virtual server, replicated infrastructure, allowing the implementation of virtual desktops for greater working flexibility and rapid expansion and deployment with business continuity and resilience. Planned projects for 2014 include MPLS upgrades, Windows7 and VDI. From January 2011 to June 2015 (4 years 6 months) Project Manager Business Services @ I joined Balfour Beatty Workplace to manage several IT based Business Services projects. However I was then given the task as technology advisor in a project which focused on the retention strategy for the DWP contract, a £350 million contract awarded to BBW for the provision of BPO within the Job Centre Plus and Pension and Disability Carers Service.
I advised on telephony solutions for contact centers including IPCC, IVR\ACD and Digital Transcription services. From May 2010 to January 2011 (9 months) IT Director and Technology Consultant @ After being made redundant from Bevan Brittan I worked as a consultant offering the following services:
