Chuck applies a decade+ of platform expertise, within a 16 year technology career, leading platform business strategy, platform marketing and API product development to help businesses drive innovation, partnerships, quality app integration and developer adoption.
Chuck’s talents for tailoring API Strategy have contributed to API success recently in healthcare, content delivery, media, financial services and retail, among many API verticals. Prior to joining Mashery, Chuck’s efforts opening up APIs at Ribbit led to developer community growth of 6,000 in its first year and culminated when the breakthrough voice & messaging platform was acquired by BT in 2008. His first book, Yahoo! Maps Mashups, was published in 2007 to promote partner and developer adoption of APIs including maps, Flickr and others.
Born in Boston, Chuck relocated to Silicon Valley for a few years. Following the acquisition of Ribbit, Chuck and his family welcomed a move back to New England, where you'll find him, his wife and two sons at Red Sox games looking forward to more Boston championships!

Lead API releases to development community of 3000, mastering geo-location, image & advertising APIs. Innovative maps mashups secured movie promotional deals and unprecedented monetization dollars. Advanced web and mobile development within various Yahoo! properties, optimizing organization-wide development approaches through components and best practices. Advised technology usage & capabilities at the executive level. From November 2005 to April 2007 (1 year 6 months) Consultant @ Architecture and development for dynamic ad modules for eBay's massively visited homepages in the US, China and Japan. Each module was engineered for optimized performance and maximum code reusability. Strict attention on minimal usage of client-side CPU and resources.
