With a diverse career in creative roles specializing in the development of unique brand identities, marketing communications, design, interactive media, video, and advertising, Christian Hurst is experienced in the coordination of all aspects of the creative process from concept and development to production and rollout. He has developed creative methodologies that facilitate team success in a variety of industries supporting prominent government and commercial clients.

Creative Director @ Provides creative leadership, and hands-on direction for a wide variety of digital products. Fosters a creative culture with a blend of process from the head, and design from the heart. Responsible for the growth of Chalk + Chisel’s creative practice, assembling digital designers who work best in partnership with a cross-functional team. From June 2015 to Present (7 months) Senior Art Director @ Works within the Marriott Creative Agency to drive ideation and bring concept to reality. Works in tandem with some of the most talented creative professionals in the industry to apply process in the development of highly visible work for one of the world's most loved brands. From July 2014 to June 2015 (1 year) Creative Strategist @ Steward of the brand that supports brand promise, brand vision, brand position, brand architecture and achieves overall goals for the brand. Engages, inspires and galvanizes the organization around the brand vision, position and strategies so they are clear in bringing them to life in their areas of functional expertise. Leads brand strategy discussions and works collaboratively with marketing communications to execute designs consistent with a determined communications hierarchy and style guide. Participates on a cross-functional team to develop new products and conducts analysis and periodical reviews of the brand, competitive, category, customer and consumer trends to enhance the brand’s equity and marketplace performance. From October 2010 to July 2014 (3 years 10 months) International Brand Team @ Part of a global initiative to apply best practices to Informa brand management and development. Implemented creative processes to innovate new media applications for brand communications. Developed creative for multiple global projects. Received kudos from Peter Rigby, CEO of Informa. From October 2010 to September 2012 (2 years) Communication Designer @ Responsible for the development and production of graphic design, creating and maintaining an archive of successful graphics for reuse as well as graphics production in coordination with proposal facilitators. Provided lead graphic design support on winning proposals to the Department of State, Department of Defense, Department of the Army, and other Federal Government agencies. Lead the graphic design and production of high dollar winning proposals for AFRICAP, CIVPOL and other global government programs. Coordinated brand development throughout the company and actively participated in executive status meetings and reviews. From March 2009 to October 2010 (1 year 8 months) Member of IS&GS Global Graphics Team @ As the communication designer for PAE, a Lockheed Martin company responsibilities also included participation in the global Lockheed Martin graphics team. Worked on Lockheed Martin proposals for high value international government projects. Received industry best practice training in proposal development, project management, proposal design, and communications. From January 2009 to October 2010 (1 year 10 months) Senior Designer @ Created unique brand identities for various clients throughout the Pittsburgh area. Led a multimedia design team to create innovative design solutions in Print, Web, Broadcast, Presentation and other digital media. Worked directly with clients as the lead designer of a widespread creative team providing direction and support, as well as training to less experienced designers.
Responsible for the organization and expansion of the Partners of Kristag program, which served as extended professional graphic design support to a wide range of clients worldwide, both in the private and public sector.
