Head of Project Management @ From March 2012 to Present (3 years 10 months) Stockport, United KingdomHead of Project Management @ Following Edge Telecoms acquisition of IP Infrastructures in August 2010 and the rebranding to GCI, I was initially seconded to the position of the Head of Project Management. This was confirmed as a permanent move in January 2011 and since then my team has grown and now consists of a team of 8 professional project staff. Alongside the day to day man management of my team and providing delivery related statistics to senior management, my main role still involves the delivery of cutting edge solutions to some of the group’s largest accounts. From August 2010 to March 2012 (1 year 8 months) Project Manager @ Engaged to manage and deliver the implementation of fixed solutions for one of the UK’s most advanced secure next generation network suppliers, my role is to ensure all projects are delivered in a timely manner and within budget, engaging key stake holders throughout the full project life cycle from customer requirement definition to successful project closure and final handover to operational support management. From November 2007 to August 2010 (2 years 10 months) Northern Area Sales Manager @ Approached by my former Sales Director at Tyco Plastics who had recently purchased Britton Taco as part of a multi million pound venture capital group. My key responsibilities were to develop existing and introduce new business into accounts across the North of England and Scotland. From November 2006 to October 2007 (1 year) Area Sales Manager @ I was head hunted to this position at Online with a brief to develop an area within Yorkshire that had not yet been expanded into.
I also supported management with the delivery of two new branch moves, one to a purpose built greenfield site. This involved full life cycle management from customer requirements definition to delivery and expectation management. I was responsible for product recommendation, installation planning and managing third party commissioning for Data, Voice and Security. From October 2004 to November 2006 (2 years 2 months) Internal Sales Manager / Project Co-ordinator @ My role between projects was to maximise growth with assigned customers as well as maintain a territory generating in excess of £1.6 million per annum.
Due to my previous project experience I delivered several different sized projects. These were quite varied and briefly consisted of legacy network decommissioning across five sites, complete office re-location, which I was involved in from start up to closure, site provisioning and industrial machinery re-location. From June 2003 to October 2004 (1 year 5 months) Career Break @ During this time I travelled round South East Asia. This was an excellent experience both mentally and physically, enhancing my own personal development. I also had the opportunity to teach English for a school term for ECC(Thailand). I taught in three schools and also organised and ran their summer camps as well as teaching adults at one of the regional educational centres. From December 2001 to April 2003 (1 year 5 months) Senior Network Analyst @ Engaged within GT Telecomms, this involved working closely with other inter-departmental areas such as Operational Acceptance, Business Platforms and Service Delivery. The role afforded me a broad knowledge of the various platforms and technologies used within HBOS. As a representative of Telecomms, I attended and presented workshops/presentations to define product evaluation, plan software migration paths, and implemented business critical rollouts to client bases well in excess of 20,000 users. Key member of the Distribution Strategy project team which was an £85 million UK wide HBOS strategy involving full project life cycles, third party supplier management, producing technical proposals and successful “hands on” implementation to over 20 UK sites, some of which were Greenfield. From March 1995 to November 2001 (6 years 9 months)
