The Project Manager is also responsible for leading volunteers through the playspace build event.

● Organized, planned and lead eight “Build It With KaBOOM!” playground grants and supported other project managers for over 15 other “Build It With KaBOOM!” playground grant projects in which a playground was built with over 200 volunteers in six hours; three projects were lead in Spanish
● Managed community partner and funding partner relationships throughout the planning and build processes to ensure successful, energetic and fun Build Days
● Established trusting relationships in the community to increase play dialogue and action to promote active and balanced play for underserved youth

The APM coaches the community partner and funding partner through project planning and provides the planning teams with specific resources and tools to achieve positive changes within their communities. The APM will shadow a Project Manager on all elements of a community-built project prior to leading her/his first project. The APM will serve as a Build Day Second and a Third for multiple builds in the first 2 – 3 months and will lead approximately 6 - 9 projects during the first year. The APMs will be closely supervised by more senior staff on their first few projects and will gradually gain autonomy as their experience grows.
