I am an ambitious person with extremely high aspirations in my career. I have a rigorous work ethic and often will think about a problem while away from my machine. I also enjoy having an input in design and functionality decisions within a project. Being able to extend creative input beyond simply writing the code I'm told too helps me to engage with the project on a more personal level, and often results in me yielding my best work.Java Developer @ Responsible for maintaining several classic Java applications, as well as being involved in the development of cutting edge Grails applications (having had over a years experience with the framework). I have also endeavoured to expand my knowledge of Vanilla Javascript. I also worked with Hazelcast, and developed a good working knowledge of how the library works and the conceptual models that need to be understood for efficient use. Another library I used quite often was the Log4J library, which allowed us to easily set up logging and error reporting for our applications. I had various tools at my disposal such as WinSCP, Putty, SQLDeveloper, MySQL Workbench. I am proficient with IntelliJ and Eclipse IDE.
