Having gained experience of external audit with one of the Big 4 and understanding ways in which to improve systems and implement changes; I’m interested to see how this can be applied business-side, especially in what is now such a digital-dependent age, and especially within the charity industry which is arguably among the most receptive to optimising data analysis to benefit funding requirements.
As well as those experiences expressed in my CV I have actively taken a secondment from work, for two months, to gain real-world experience travelling to various countries within Africa, visiting New Zealand and Fiji; these experiences broaden my horizon and encouraged my passion to work in some form with a NGO.
I am currently now working overseas in Tanzania under a volunteering role, in which I shall return to the UK in July. This current role is challenging me and has set me up with a promising amount of experience to add a valuable contribution to a new organisation, despite being new at this role.
