I started Student Cribs whilst at Bristol University to enable students to rent decent houses and be treated like customers. Investors benefit from strong, stable returns and students at last get a great place to live and are treated like customers. We now have around 100 properties in cities across the country and are raising our second investment fund to expand further.
Alongside growing Student Cribs I was an early shareholder and director of London Bio Packaging, growing over 6 years to become the largest supplier of environmentally friendly food packaging in the UK. I exited the investment in March 2012 to focus on raising the second Student Cribs investment fund. LBP continues to go from strength to strength.
Prior to LBP I spent a couple of years working in cardboard factories for Mondi Packaging, then part of Anglo American, on their graduate scheme.
CEO @ Student Cribs was formed to provide students with high quality accommodation and investors with attractive and stable yields. We find, buy, refurbish, let and manage properties on behalf of investors delivering strong, stable returns. Our tenants get to live in a fantastic house with a pro active and responsible landlord. From May 2001 to Present (14 years 8 months) Director @ London Bio Packaging specialises in providing environmentally sound packaging to the food and catering industry. We have a very wide range of biodegradable and recycled products and supply businesses from local delis, to supermarkets, large contract caterers and airlines. We have a triple bottom line approach to everything we do meaning that we take time to consider the environment, ethics, and economics of all our activities. Marcus Hill founded the business and I have grown it with him to where we are now with 15 employees and thousands of customers, and a healthy turnover. It has been great fun and very rewarding. From January 2007 to November 2011 (4 years 11 months) Environmental Project Manager @ Mondi is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of paper and packaging products. Having worked as a graduate trainee accross numerous departments I then set up an environmental project within the business. We looked environmental improvements that could be made to manufacturing sites and how we could market the environmental benefits of these imporvements and the materials that we use to create a USP. From September 2004 to December 2006 (2 years 4 months)
