As the CFO of SunGard, spun-off the Availability Services segment in March 2014 and significantly improved the financial performance of the remaining company, allowing SunGard to file for its IPO in June 2015, leading to the ultimate sale of the company in 4Q2015 for over $9 Billion.
As the CFO of SafeNet (a cyber-security company), re-built the financial organization adding key planning, treasury, tax, accounting and audit resources and processes. Successfully integrated SafeNet's Aladdin acquisition, restructured all outstanding debt, and led the company's M&A activities. This helped guide the company to record levels of revenue and profit and ultimately allowed SafeNet to file its S1 in support of its IPO.
As the CFO of the IBM Software Group, implemented operational and financial disciplines that helped increase revenue by over 50% (to over $20 Billion) and double pre-tax profit (to over $7 Billon) while completing over 40 acquisitions in 5 years.

Working closely with SunGard's CEO, significantly improved the financial performance of SunGard, returning the company to 5% growth while improving profit margins by over 300 basis points and dramatically improving cash flow; Refinanced over $6 billion in debt with lower rates and improved terms; Rebuilt the financial management system with a focus on sustained growth and margin expansion through improved operational metrics, new systems (Workday, Ariba) and improved controls.
