I enjoy manufacturing and using my hands and machinery to make a product. My goal is to keep improving our manufacturing process and reduce operating costs.
I feel that if I learn something new every day I have accomplished my goal for the day.

Being a family owned business I started when I was young working in the plant doing odd jobs, shipping and the storeroom. From June 2004 to January 2013 (8 years 8 months) Leadman @ As grinding leadman I specified grinding wheels, conducted time studies on them and evaluated their performance. Issued work to operators and assisted them with set ups if needed. I specified rebuild parameters for equipment and supervised the installation of this equipment. Preventative maintance and breakdown maintance was part of my daily duties as well. From June 1998 to May 2004 (6 years) Machine Operator @ I operated milling and grinding machines as instructed. During this time I learned skills from many of the experienced operators as well as learning many skills on my own by trial and error. From June 1993 to May 1998 (5 years) Shipping/Receiving @ In Shipping I packaged parts for transport, built wooden boxes for shipments, and stenciled parts that were being shipped to customers or going to stock. Receiving involved unloading trucks and moving parts to stock or to locations on the floor for manufacturing. Working in inventory I stocked the shelves with raw and finished goods.
