Bob has held IT positions increasing in accountability starting in 1986 both in Upstream and Downstream Oil and Gas industry before taking a leadership position in 1998. He worked in different managerial positions across applications, data and infrastructure areas of responsibility across Marathon's global landscape. This lead to an opportunity as an IT leader for Strategy and Planning in 2003 and moved to the manager for Marathon's Upstream IT operations in 2004 for eight years and is currently the Director for Enterprise IT Services for Marathon Oil.
IT Director - Enterprise Services @ Accountable for leading the IT Enterprise Services group, reporting to the CIO, which is responsible for Marathon Oil's IT infrastructure, services and architecture. This includes data center(server, database, storage and SAP basis), network, end user computing, service desk, mobility, security and cyberthreat intelligence. From August 2004 to March 2012 (7 years 8 months) IT Strategy and Planning Manager @ Responsible for implementing a sourcing strategy for Marathon Oil's IT organization, reporting to the CIO. This included defining roles and responsibilities for the retained IT organization within Marathon Oil and the processes of how they would work through a largely outsourced IT model.
