Bess Wyrick is full of imagination, creativity and fantasy drama. She has the ability to feature moments of transcendent beauty and moments of profound silliness. She is 1 of 9 adopted children, fiercely adventurous, and having grown up in Northern New Mexico is not a stranger to mountain top peaks. She graduated from University of California Santa Cruz with a dual degree in Eco-Psychology and Visual Media and in 2008 founded Celadon & Celery Events, based in New York City and specializing in experiential events, art instillation and weddings. Her incredible background of owning a farm and a restaurant in San Francisco before 25 has given her the ability to run effective campaigns, design chic events, and tell compelling stories through her wild imagination, this has made her a veteran events designer, producing events across the US, Europe, and South America.
Bess has been published in 3 books, 39 publications worldwide and is presently a Biz Bash Contributor/ Lifestyle Tastemaker/Blogger/Lead designer for Team Adventure Escapes. Bess also spends a large amount of time mentoring though her platform, ColorWyld, and inspires other designers through workshops. Her unique storytelling and background has booked her appearances at the NYT Conference, Catersource, WIPA, Biz Bash, and Create & Cultivate.
This past year Bess has collaborated with some of the top artists in the world. She worked with Jeff Koons on a multi media campaign that landed her the cover of NY Magazine. LA + NY Creative Direction, Senior Producer, Marketing @ Available in LA + NY as a freelance art director and senior producer. I work with brands to find relevant, interesting and strategic solutions in Experience Marketing. I work on creative and experiential strategy for global brands including Audi, Delta,Dry Bar, IPSOFT, Turner, Nike, and Verizon. I work on both the business development side and account side to develop interesting, unique, and clever campaigns that make brands stand out. With a production background, I approach creative strategy with a level of pragmatism that makes my ideas work. That said, I like to be bold and brave with my weird ideas and I love brands that are willing to allow me to communicate my visions.
With 12 years into my creative career I have the ability to motivate and inspire people. Learning that ideas need to be bold but also brave, to challenge the status quo. Ideas help brands target an audience through events, experiences, and ongoing campaigns. Building stronger brands through experiences thinking will help define and deliver a stronger outcome.
As Head of Creative I know how to manage and mentor a team of creatives, managers, and fabricators. When establishing and fulfilling upon a company's production procedures and protocols, I enjoy assuming a calm yet firm approach to this leadership role, in overseeing all productions, bidding and budgets, as well as serving as a liaison with our post production facility to usher projects through.
My professional experience so far has given me a colorful background anchored in creative design through live storytelling created for brands. Working alongside the world's top creatives & advertising minds I have learned how to tell a story to multiple audiences with digital visuals. Above all I love brands and this has been invaluable in training me to be responsible for a large amount & variety of vital details in an artistic and logistical environment.
