Recently completed a Master of Engineering Degree at UC Berkeley with a focus on Data Science and Systems. Will be joining the Search Quality Team at LinkedIn as a Full Time Software Engineer in late July.
Software Engineer @ Search Quality. Job Search Relevance. Helping people find the perfect job for them. From July 2015 to Present (6 months) Software Engineering Intern @ Worked on Team Money to continually develop new features for an internal Flask web application for the company. Worked primarily on back end designing and developing algorithms for new statistical measures and optimizing web pages to massively improve the page load times throughout the application. Also leveraged the Twilio API to enable SMS messaging in the web app. Currently working on a tool to help simplify management of open headcount within the company on a per-team basis and give directors ability to post open positions on our own internal mobility webpage. From May 2013 to August 2014 (1 year 4 months) Web Security Research Assistant @ Working in the URAP program under Professor Dawn Song helping out with research on web security technologies. Worked with WebPageTest API's and Blaze Android Agents to set up infrastructure to crawl websites with both Android Mobile Devices and Desktop Agents. From February 2013 to January 2014 (1 year) Computer Science Tutor @ Tutored students who are currently taking self-paced courses as UC Berkeley. Primarily helping students taking the Python, Java, and C courses. Graded and explained the answers to their quizzes and helped them get a head start on their programming assignments. From August 2012 to January 2013 (6 months) Software Engineering Intern @ Developed an Java-Based UDP-‐based Data Transfer Protocol (UDT) client and server. Customers were able to achieve >40Mb/s UDT uploads vs. 5Mb/s HTTP Uploads.
Also integrated a headless Java application with the new uploader web application on the CMS Dashboard so users could take advantage of UDP Transfers without downloading a standalone Java application.
Developed an application built on top of the Twistage API. Our use case was that we were a web hosting company who wanted to integrate with Twistage and use them to provide Video CMS to our customers. We attempted to build a prototype application for this in order to figure out where we need to improve our API to make it easier for future developers to create this application.
