FRN is a network of students recovering food from their college campuses and donating it to shelters and meal sites in the community. We are currently operating chapters at 61 schools, and have recovered over 200,000 pounds of food. From November 2011 to Present (4 years 2 months) Leavetaking Coordinator @ As Leavetaking Coordinator for the Curricular Resource Center, I advise students who are considering taking leave from Brown University, and work with a variety of offices within Brown to create a central location for all resources related to leavetaking. Along with my two co-coordinators, I plan and execute 3-5 events a semester, hold drop-in office hours, and work to improve the experience for students taking leave. From January 2014 to Present (2 years) Technical Assistant @ Assist in the electrics and scenic departments for the Brown University Theatre Department. From September 2011 to Present (4 years 4 months) Intern @ I worked on a variety of projects with CSC, all self-designed. I created a priority index algorithm that ranked all 50 states based on their potential to be receptive to CSC's models, laying the groundwork for CSC's national expansion. I also designed and deployed a customer survey, and analyzed the responses. The real insight I gained was how awesome it can be to work with such an amazing team of people dedicated to revolutionizing the financial industry for the better! From June 2014 to August 2014 (3 months) Greater Seattle AreaKitchen Assistant at TMI @ During the summers, I worked as a Kitchen Assistant at an AMC facility in New Hampshire. Worked closely with a chef to prepare meals for 100 people. From June 2011 to August 2013 (2 years 3 months) Founder & Co-President @ Founded the Social Action House, a living and learning community of 45 students at Brown University committed to social justice work. The aim of the house is to support aspiring social entrepreneurs and to raise the level of discourse about social justice work in the broader campus community. From September 2012 to May 2013 (9 months) Providence, Rhode Island AreaFounder @ Created the Brown University Food Recovery Network chapter, and oversaw all aspects of its operations during the Spring of 2012. Integrated food recovery into the Brown University Dining Services operations and created the infrastructure for sustainable food recovery at Brown University. Managed all logistics of food recovery, from pick-ups to transport, to drop-offs. From January 2012 to January 2013 (1 year 1 month) Providence, Rhode Island AreaChief Financial Officer @ Prepared and managed an annual budget of between $10,000 and $50,000, and was responsible for all record-keeping and accounting for the organization. From January 2007 to May 2011 (4 years 5 months) Intern with Search-USA @ Policy manager for the Congressional Youh Empowerment Caucus project of Search-USA. Worked with contacts on Capital Hill to garner support for our Youth Caucus idea. Worked to create content for the website for our Youth Empowerment Coalition. Interviewed young changemakers from all walks of life who have made a difference in their respective fields. From August 2010 to December 2010 (5 months) Deputy Volunteer Coordinator @ Coordinated volunteer recruitment for the Mac D’Alessandro campaign. Recruited and scheduled volunteers for campaign activities. Managed phone banks and canvasses.
