Working as a mechanical engineer at Arup focusing in energy modeling, digital environments, energy code compliance, and building physics, I perform energy modeling studies in order to inform design decisions in early stages, as well as create compliance models for LEED and Title-24 and work to integrate these analyses as seamlessly as possible into BIM workflows. I strive to upgrade conventional building engineering workflows to keep up with 21st century digital tools. I also work with large scale data analysis and visualization, specifically in regards to building energy usage. Some of this work has morphed into dynamic near-time energy modeling, soon to move towards model predictive control.
