Her most recent experience has been at Specsavers Australia and was one of the three accounting staff to set up Specsavers in Australia. Beatrice was involved in setting up the first 100 Specsavers stores in 100 days, working cross functionally with operational teams. She was later given the opportunity to replicate the implementation in New Zealand. Throughout her experience she has seen Specsavers business grow to the Retailer of the Year in Australia with over 300 retail stores across Australia & New Zealand.
Head of Financial Reporting ANZ @ The company based in UK is the fastest growing optometrist group in the world. Having started ANZ operations over five year ago has opened 350 plus stores across Australia and New Zealand.
I have had the privilege of being one of the three accounting staff to set up Specsavers in Australia, which rolled out 100 stores in 100 days, working cross functionally with operational teams. I was later given the opportunity to replicate the implementation in New Zealand.
I oversee the Reporting, Tax and Transaction teams at Specsavers Australia & New Zealand.
Support office transaction team is responsible for processing, paying and reconciling all invoices for Australian Support Office suppliers including credit card and expense claim forms. The team are also responsible for the accounts receivable functions including store Franchise fees, product invoicing, various recharges and debtor management. They assist partners with questions relating to invoices raised by support office to stores.
Financial Reporting team is responsible for maintaining the integrity of the ledger and the ERP system in conjunction with the IT team. Monthly reports for cost centres and group reports are managed by this team along with cashflow and treasury function including store loan books.
Consolidated quarterly group reporting, yearend audit and annual report for statutory bodies are prepared by this team for Specsavers Australia.
Budgeting and forecasting for support office overheads, settlement of all business combinations are other adhoc duties performed by this team.
The Tax Team ensure all our Australian and New Zealand stores and Support Office entities are tax compliant in all taxes including Income Tax, GST, FBT and Stamp Duties.
In addition to tax compliance, the team work to achieve the best tax outcomes for employees, store partners and related entities over a broad range of transactions within the Specsavers Group. From 2008 to Present (7 years) Accountant @ The company is the market leader in Australia for manufacturing wheels & castors. The organisations branch and distribution network spans throughout Australia, USA, Canada and South Asia with an annual turnover of $20 over million.
Reporting into the Group financial Controller, my role included financial and management accounting and main responsibilities and duties were as follows:

Financial due diligence study in the acquisition of Electrodrive Pty Ltd. I was also part of the administration team in post takeover of Electrodrive and setup operations and recruitment under new management. From 2003 to 2008 (5 years) Financial Accountant @ A Subsidiary of Richard Roberts Holdings UK, the leading supplier of Knitwear for Marks & Spencer retail chain.
