I have always lived my life through the words of Walt Disney, "Laughter is timeless. Imagination has no age. And dreams are forever.”
When I envision the older, much wiser Artie Beavis, I see him sitting in his penthouse office, peering out of his window overlooking the city. He is the CMO of a Fortune 500 company responsible for some of the world's most successful campaigns. (That is unless the position of President of Disney World's Magic Kingdom were to open, in which case, I would have to accept.)
I've been known to talk quite a bit, think outside the box and implement creative ideas, all while adhering to corporate culture, achieving business objectives and generating revenue. As one of the earliest adopters of social media, I have launched and sold an agency, helped bring sexy back to semiconductors, and have even engaged in tweet rap battles with '90s stars. I'm all about the suit and tie, but often times you'll catch me blogging away outside of Starbucks in a pair of sweats... or on the tennis court.
Who is Artie?
• Age 1: Walk? This kid was already running.
• Age 7: Play lemonade stand? Launched first business instead.
• Age 10: Already devised a Trapper Keeper of business plans.
• Age 12: Applied for first college internship.
• Age 14: Started own newspaper column.
• Age 18: Graduated at the top of high school class.
• Age 19: Attended NYU (and no, I didn't meet the Olsen Twins).
• Age 20: Pursued pro tennis in Florida; nearly landed an MTV reality show.
• Age 21: Rather than be just another coffee-fetching marketing intern, launched own division.
• Age 22: Marketed my way into an ATP event (2008 Pilot Pen).
• Age 23: Assumed first social media director role.
• Age 24: Launched a social media marketing agency.
• Age 25: Social marketing agency acquired.
• Age 26: Global social media executive.
