Research Assistant @ Synopsis: My research is focused on using spectral graph methods to analyze Wikipedia graph structure and extract concept representation from it. Based on the proposed concept embedding, a new Semantic Relatedness method was obtained that could outperform the state of the art on reference datasets. Focusing on the Biomedical domain, I have proved the effectiveness of Wikipedia (and hence Crowd-sourcing) compared to professionally curated ontologies. My current research is focused on developing a framework to use my extracted concept representation in concept-based text mining and IR tasks and then comparing it with the representation extracted from deep-learning distributional analysis of the Wikipedia text .
