I develop web and mobile apps, with a focus on providing a quality user experience, with fine attention to detail from UI Design to the underlying architecture. I'll take any challenge and make it work, and I always remember to add the small things that make people smile and come back. I'm currently working on mobile first web apps using AngularJS, ReactJS, Node, Browserify, Backbone and Google Closure libraries. In the last year I've worked on Frontend builds for Nike, Google and Apple. I've always got side projects on the go too, which is what I do to learn new things and experiment.Frontend Engineer @ From September 2015 to Present (2 months) London, United KingdomSenior Frontend Developer @ Currently developing mobile-first JavaScript applications using AngularJS. During my time at R/GA I've been fortunate to have worked on Frontend builds for Nike, Google and Apple. From March 2013 to September 2015 (2 years 7 months) LondonFounder & CTO @ CPD Review is an online platform providing Dental Professionals with accurate and impartial reviews for CPD courses. From June 2012 to November 2013 (1 year 6 months) London, United KingdomSoftware Development Engineer @ I worked at CertiVox developing web-based security products for military-grade communications in the financial, law, and public sectors. During my time there I designed and developed the world’s first end-to-end secure email client in JavaScript/HTML5 (http:// www.privatesky.me), using elliptical curve cryptography for data encryption and message signing and verification. I enabled the encryption of files over 500MB in-browser via pushing the capabilities of HTML5 web workers to the limit, so encryption is ‘chunked’, queued, and processed via 3 asynchronous workers so even web browsers on slow computers didn’t experience browser lockup. The encryption libraries were developed by Professor Mike Scott, which I became educated and familiarised with. I helped port them to JavaScript by working with libraries developed by Stanford University, oversaw compatibility testing with Managed C++ and C# libraries, and finally made sure their integration with the UX in an email client was as seemless as possible. The ported libraries surpassed benchmarks achieved by Stanford libraries, and the additional functionality achieved with HTML5 web workers allowed me to produce an enterprise-level solution to encrypting email attachments. I also developed compatibility testing tools, for example, to make sure a message encrypted on iOS could be decrypted in a web browser in JavaScript. Other notable projects included designing and developing company dashboards to display product usage and sales metrics, in HTML5, CSS3 and .NET (C#) backend, connecting to an API interfacing the MongoDB datastore. From April 2011 to June 2012 (1 year 3 months) London, United KingdomTechnical Lead @ Rebuilt company website, supporting and improving existing CRM product, UI Design for applications and new CRM to launch in late 2011, re-branded company services, introduced processes to improve efficiency and quality across the technical department. Long list of achievements, won Employee of the Year in my first full year. Developed web applications including a CRM, iPad lead collection app, telecoms data collection systems, in ASP, .NET (C#), php, HTML5 and jQuery. From February 2009 to March 2011 (2 years 2 months) Engineering Services Engineer @ A mixture of sysadmin, support product development, and a client-facing technical support role maintaining Redwood telecommunications products, which were based on a platform hosting conferences for the US State Dept, as well as 100k+ calls during TV competitions and promotions. The role also included developing internal web-based tools using PHP and MSSQL, as well as interacting with Windows Server systems and databases on a daily basis. Also involved trips to Cable & Wireless datacenters to install telecoms hardware, which required remote installation and resiliance testing.
