I am a software engineer, with experience in .NET/C# development, and the medical device industry
Developer @ From July 2015 to Present (6 months) Software Engineer II - Automated Test @ - Developed infrastructure and tools needed for functional and regression automated testing on patient monitoring products
- Collected and defined requirements, created design documentation as necessary for tools needed to support product verification
- Served as team technical lead for various software tools projects.
- Tracked product defects in JIRA and ClearQuest, ensured that corrective actions are taken
- Created of modules/libraries in support of an automation scripting environment.
- Contributed to peer review of code using Collaborator and documentation processes.
Projects include:
-Electroencephalography (EEG) Simulator
-Various Serial Emulators .
-Optical Character Recognition (OCR) server and client application program interface (API)
-Automated Test Station Equipment Database
-Patient Simulator Remote Control Interface From August 2011 to June 2015 (3 years 11 months) Automation Intern @ Project: EKG Lead-Off Detection Test and Respiratory Waveform Test
- Created a comprehensive lead off test which will be implemented in a patient simulator for testing in Algorithms, and Verification & Validation of patient monitoring systems.
- Programmed a LabView VI to mimic the electrical conditions of leads drying out or disconnecting from a human patient by controlling National Instruments’ USB Serial Port Interface and writing data to a Printed Circuit Board (PCB). This program allows any combination of connections and impedances for up to 10 EKG electrodes. From May 2011 to August 2011 (4 months) Design Engineering Intern @ • Performed functional and measurement system analysis on four different Data Acquisition Systems used to characterize all automotive pressure transducers over a range of temperature and pressure for design and production validation.
• Discovered, using Minitab, that a reference sensor was a major source of variability.
• Found and implemented changes in calibration routine and power supply which increased reproducibility and repeatability between all systems. From May 2010 to August 2010 (4 months) Research Lab Assistant @ • Facilitated prenatal choline supplementation of rats, and subsequent termination and dissections in an effort to examine the possible effects on Autism, and Alzheimer’s disease.
• Used rtPCR, PCR and protein assays to determine where expression of growth factors relating to the development of Autism and Alzhimer’s disease was most affected From May 2009 to August 2009 (4 months) Research Lab Assistant @ • Performed immunohistochemistry and in-situ hybridization experiments on brain specimens to visualize GABA-ergic neurons
• Statistically analyzed brain electrode data obtained from rat surgeries with MATLAB to confirm the influence of specific sections of the pons and medulla upon respiratory control From May 2008 to August 2008 (4 months) Research Lab Intern @ • Synthesized silk scaffolding to be seeded with embryonic stem cells for tissue engineering studies From May 2007 to 2007 (less than a year)
