Scope of oversight includes ten different specialties- Primary Care, Senior Advantage, Orthopedic Surgery, Pain Management, Anesthesia, Otolaryngology, Plastic Surgery, Urology, Sports Medicine, Adult and Pediatric Psychiatry, and an off-site campus containing Vascular, Bariatric, and Transplant programs.Project responsibilities include the migration of registration and scheduling operations and personnel from individual clinics to centralized location, including the development of specialized call center environments and standardized content.Leadership responsibilities include equipping, training, and motivating staff to deliver exceptional patient service, to efficiently and accurately capture pertinent demographic and insurance information, and to schedule appointments for appropriate providers and programs. Customer service and productivity are audited, measured, and coached on a regular basis. From May 2013 to September 2016 (3 years 5 months) Greater Chicago AreaInformation Security & HIPAA Compliance Analyst @ Silver Cross Hospital As part of daily operations, managed computer & application access to ensure that they are conducted within a controlled and protected environment. Established and maintained IT security processes and practices to meet regulatory HIPAA compliance and internal auditing objectives. Responsible for identifying and reducing security risk exposures through the use of industry best practices, including processes and tools.In keeping with the development of these protocols, designed and implemented the Core/Security components of a new Cerner EMR environment and, as part of a team, successfully transitioned a live hospital system into this environment from a Meditech platform. From June 2012 to June 2013 (1 year 1 month) Greater Chicago AreaCommunications Engineer @ Silver Cross Hospital Led all communications components of live hospital relocation, including the design, programming, installation and implementation of a redundant Cisco VoIP telephony system with over 3,000 end devices, an overhead PA system, a Singlewire InformaCast over-the-phone voice paging system, a Rauland Responder 5 Nurse Call system, a Mercy Radio EMS dispatch system, long and short range text paging systems, and external infrastructure designs for inbound/outbound call connectivity, including redundant SIP and PRI components. Successfully migrated live hospital environment from Avaya PBX circuit-switched telephony platform to the newly implemented Cisco VoIP platform with minimal downtime.Responsible for the implementation of telephony applications to direct calls to Call Center and remote sites, developing test plans and new call flows, and performing configuration clean-up. Also responsible for collaborating in the process of agent configuration and MAC order processes in various peripherals by setting up new users and relocating existing users with telephone extensions, calling features, voice mail and access codes. Also responsible for ordering and maintaining phone numbers/extensions for the entire organization as necessary. Responsible for conducting appropriate maintenance and support for various telecommunications applications, as well as providing first-level support for all telecommunication issues.
