I am a Computer Science major at UC Berkeley. I am very interested in Data Science. Many of my past platforms have been in areas of biology and medicine where I wrangled data and used learning algorithms to build models to solve many classification and regression problems. I am extremely passionate about programming, problem solving, and cool puzzles!
Area Knowledge: Computer Science, Radiation Biology, Oncology, Statistical Learning, Image Processing, Networking.
Programming Skills: Python (Numpy, Matplotlib, Pandas, and a variety of libraries), Java, C, javascript (node, D3, react), MATLAB, SQL, R.
Frameworks: I am proficient working with Django and Express, I have development experience with both LAMP and MEAN stacks.
Misc: Docker, Weave, Docker Swarm. Kafka, MongoDB, Spark, HDFS and writing map reduce jobs.
Other Skills: Entrepreneurship, Public Speaking, Coaching Policy Debate (I am a assistant policy coach at The Harker Schools)
Languages: Hindi, English
Hobbies: Chess, Music, and Teaching!
Undergraduate Researcher @ Supervised by Scott Shenker and James Murphy.
Small scale ethernet networks use the Spanning Tree protocol and basic self learning to maintain, protect, and direct data link packets to host MAC addresses while larger networks use even more robust and computationally expensive pseudo routing protocols to direct packets but have given up on self learning switches as the internet scales. Our project is revisiting that area to build, implement, and test the viability of even stronger self learning algorithms for switches at the data link level. From December 2014 to Present (11 months) University of California BerkeleyAnalytics Intern @ From March 2015 to Present (8 months) San Francisco Bay AreaAssistant Debate Coach for the Harker Middle School @ Assistant debate coach for the Harker Middle School where I give middle school debaters the tools they need to compete against other middle school/high schoolers in local/national circuit policy debate. I review their cases, teach them argument structure as well as all of the technical assists of policy debate needed to succeed. Most importantly I attempt to give them tools for use later down the road such as good research skills, critical thinking ability, etc. From October 2013 to March 2015 (1 year 6 months) San Jose, CaliforniaAcademic Intern - Discrete Mathematics and Probability Theory @ I have been chosen to be on of the 13 academic interns for the Discrete Math and Probability Theory class taught at UC Berkeley under Professor Anand Sahai. My responsibilities include co teaching a section with a graduate student, helping out at homework parties, and any other work that needs to be done! From July 2014 to December 2014 (6 months) Computer Science 70Technical Consultant @ I am a technical consultant at the Scottsdale Medical Imaging Institute where I use my skills in MATLAB and R to quantify image data including but not limited to MRI, PET, and SPECT modalities. I am also involved in the automation of imaging protocols for use in research and in medicine. My current project is an extension of my internship with Dr. Korn MD/PhD and Dr. Singh where I am quantifying data procured from Diffusion Weighted and T2 Weighted MRI Images in order to study the relationship between renal scarring and the aforementioned data. From January 2014 to July 2014 (7 months) Scottsdale, ArizonaIntern @ I am using MATLAB/Osirix to work on developing quantitative models for abdominal Diffusion Functional MRI images of the kidney in order to help improve diagnosis for various renal diseases. My supervisors are Dr. Ronald Korn MD/PHd, and Dr. Bhupinder Singh MD. From December 2013 to July 2014 (8 months) Scottsdale, ArizonaUndergraduate Researcher @ Advisor: Sylvain Costes
