ZURU first began when Nick & Mat Mowbray moved to China at the age of 18 & 23 to start a toy business. Later joined by their sister, Anna Mowbray, ZURU has gone on to become one of the largest and fastest-growing toy companies in the world. This can be credited to the siblings' drive to be disruptive in every part of the ZURU process, whether through their products, lean streamlined commercial models, or the company's expertise in automating the production of complex products. ZURU Toys boasts an impressive range of major brands such as Bunch O Balloons, X-Shot, 5 Surprise, Rainbowcorns, Metal Machines, MAX, Oosh, Tangle, Fidget cube, Pets Alive, and Robo Alive, distributing to over 120 countries and almost every major retailer.In 2018, the siblings established ZURU Edge, a consumer goods company with the mission to build new age, data-driven brands in FMCG channels. Currently, the ZURU Edge team is building and launching 10 cutting edge brands with the world's largest retailers. The team is capitalising on macro shifts, creating brands that are relevant to new-age audiences and ultimately, brands that are driven by purpose as well as profit.In addition to toys and consumer goods, ZURU is also looking to disrupt the construction industry through its ambitious project, ZURU Tech. The ZURU Tech team has developed leading architectural software, allowing consumers to design and view their home in real-time. This home is then built on fully automated production lines and shipped to the building site for assembly. While the details for ZURU Tech are still very much under wraps, we can disclose that the team is in the process of building one of the world’s largest factories and have prepared a multitude of unique patent claims.
