Wilmar Sugar Australia is Australia’s leading sugar and renewable energy company. A key part of the Queensland landscape, we own and operate eight sugar mills in North and Central Queensland. Together our mills manufacture more than half of Australia’s raw sugar. We’re also market leaders in sweeteners and are committed to the pursuit of sugar as a renewable resource. As Australia's largest producer of renewable energy from biomass, our sugar operations follow a natural and sustainable cycle: using sugar cane waste to facilitate cogeneration, produce ethanol and manufacture fertilisers which are returned to cane fields.Through our joint ventures, Sugar Australia and Chelsea Sugar, we also operate sugar refineries and market the familiar consumer brands CSR and Chelsea Sugar in Australia and New Zealand respectively.We employ around 2,400 people across our mills and refineries, and offices in Townsville, Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney.
