Wargaming America is the exclusive North America publisher for Wargaming.net, an award-winning game developer and publisher and one of the leaders in the free-to-play MMO market. Founded as a privately held company in 1998, Wargaming has shipped more than 15 titles and employs over 3,400 people across such key regions as North America, Europe, Russia, and Asia. Based in the San Francisco Bay Area, Wargaming America provides marketing, public relations, business development, community and customer support services for all of Wargaming.net’s video game titles. Currently, Wargaming is focused on its team-based MMO war series dedicated to the mid-20th century warfare. Its flagship armored MMO World of Tanks, launched in April 2011, currently boasts 90+ million players worldwide. The flight combat World of Warplanes took off in November 2013 with over 5 million pilots. The next up in the series is the naval World of Warships, scheduled for release in 2015. As part of its multiplatform line-up, the company is building World of Tanks Blitz, World of Tanks: Xbox 360 Edition, and World of Tanks: Generals. Launched in February 2014, World of Tanks: Xbox 360 Edition introduced epic tank-on-tank battles to console gamers. The mobile MMO game World of Tanks Blitz has opened up Wargaming’s trademark team-based military IP to smartphone and tablet users, while the card collectible MMO title for Internet browsers World of Tanks: Generals will enable cross platform gameplay. Wargaming America is also committed to working with foundations and charities throughout North America and the world to give back to veterans and further the preservation of military history, including most recently a partnership with the USS IOWA, as well as the Military Vehicle Technology Foundation in Portola, Calif. and The National WWII Museum in New Orleans, La., on military history and education initiatives.
