United Bible Societies

The United Bible Societies (UBS) is the collective name for our fellowship of nearly 150 Bible Societies working in over 200 countries and territories. From wherever and however they operate, Bible Societies all share the mission of placing the Word of God in the hearts and minds of the people they serve. We have three goals: 1) To translate the Bible into the languages people want to read globally, 2) To publish and distribute Bibles to everyone who wants one, 3) To help people understand God's word clearly through Bible reading guides and other resources that help people understand God's message for them. We believe the word of God has the power to transform people's lives and our desire is to make the Bible available to all who would like to read it and understand it better, wherever they live in the world.
