In 2009, SNC-Lavalin acquired the engineering and technical services firm Spectrol Energy Services Inc. of St. John's Newfoundland and Labrador. Spectrol's lines of business include, Inspection, Quality, Asset Integrity, Maintenance and Reliability Engineering to the oil and gas industry and other natural resource sectors. Our Team of mechanical, corrosion, materials engineers, naval architects, quality professionals and highly trained inspection technicians, are responsible for the Inspection and Integrity Programs of some of the biggest players in the industry including, HMDC, ExxonMobil, Suncor, Husky Energy, Total, Amec, DSME, Aramco. Our Clients include major oil companies, large EPC and oilfield service companies as well as general contractors engaged in fabrication, construction and marine activities. Spectrol's Portfolio of Contracts includes a significant geographic reach to several major petroleum producing regions including, western Canada's oilsands, West Africa, Indonesia, Equatorial Guinea and Gulf of Mexico.
