Sonangol Starfish Oil & Gas

The Starfish Oil & Gas (Starfish) was founded on August 9, 1999, the first Brazilian company formed after the independent sector regulatory framework for oil and gas in 1997. In 2010, control of Starfish Oil & Gas SA has been consolidated in Sonangol Exploration and Production of Petroleum in Brazil Ltd., the Brazilian subsidiary of the Angolan oil company, Sonangol Exploration and Production SA, forming Sonangol Starfish Oil & Gas (SSOG) . Sonangol Starfish Oil & Gas (SSOG) is an independent company with operations in exploration and production segment of oil and natural gas in Brazil. In 2011, the SSOG started its offshore operations in Brazil, with the first well in the Campos basin. Currently, SSOG, acts as the operator of seven blocks and two fields in the land of the Reconcavo Basin, Rio Grande do Norte, Sergipe-Alagoas and Espírito Santo and three offshore blocks in the Campos and Santos basins. As a non-operator SSOG operates in 02 fields, Guanambi and Cambacica, both in the Reconcavo Basin.
