Serge

Serge, formerly known as World Harvest Mission, is an international missions agency based in the United States with over 240 international staff in over 20 diverse locations. We take a customized, relational approach to working with our staff and equip them to do contextually-sensitive work in potentially risky environments with the mentoring and support they need to do a job they love for the world's good and God's glory. Serge staff are establishing schools, training doctors, running health clinics, starting freedom businesses, engineering water systems, planting churches, providing counseling in counseling deserts, and equipping national church leaders. We do this to put hands and feet to the message of grace through Jesus Christ, a message we never offer alone as an idea. Grace always comes with something tangible. In all these areas of work, we have a common goal: to come alongside our friends as we experience the grace of God together. Informed by our work around the world, Serge staff create practical resources for renewal in the message of God's grace and for guiding your local outreach. Our best-known resources are the Sonship Course and the Gospel-Centered Life small-group study. Burnout is a big problem among international workers and pastors today. Serge staff have 25 years of experience in mentoring ministry leaders - coming alongside what the Holy Spirit is doing in their life to renew them in the grace of God through Jesus Christ and propel them back into mission. We offer mentoring to our staff and also to you. Our organization's name is an opportunity to explain how we work. Serge is a sewing term that brings up the picture of joining two rough edges together to form a smooth seam. We see God weaving together the ragged parts of our lives with His goodness, making the tattered beautiful.
