Description
Information
Räddningstjänsten Syd Region South Fire and Rescue Service (Räddningstjänsten Syd) is a union of the local governments of Burlöv, Eslöv, Kävlinge, Lund and Malmö and their Rescue Services. This means that we starting from January 1st 2006 became more numerable, bigger and stronger than before. Our main goal is to prevent and limit accidents in the community. Hence we work with education, supervision, social planning, information and guidance to the general public, organisations and the trade and industry world. With increased knowledge each individual can contribute to reducing the number of risks and accidents. We are - around the clock, all year long – on stand by to attend to everything from drowning accidents, fires and traffic accidents to clear up storm damage, floods, landslides and toxic discharge. The first emergency service vehicle will be on its way within 90 seconds, and within 5-10 minutes we will have commenced the rescue effort. We also provide the public with transportation service for the disabled and organ transportation. Amongst other things we assist hundreds of children with functional impairment to get to their schools and pre-schools.
