Quality Health Network (QHN)

Quality Health Network (QHN) is a nonprofit, established in 2004, dedicated to healthcare quality improvement. QHN provides for the secure exchange of electronic health information between authorized medical providers as a health information exchange (HIE). The HIE provides for the electronic exchange of clinical information allowing medial providers access to and retrieval of clinical data to provide safer and more timely, efficient and effective patient care. The QHN network collects and distributes data to and from diverse types of healthcare providers including acute care, urgent care, long-term care, reference labs, surgical centers, behavioral health programs, public health agencies, pharmacies and independent physician practices which creates a longitudinal patient record or virtual patient record (VHR).
