Printemps was founded in Paris in 1865 by Jules Jaluzot. From 1912, Printemps was under the need of expansion, hence opened the first Printemps store outside Paris in the French seaside resort town – Deauville. Since, Printemps has never stopped growing: over the years, further 14 Printemps stores have been opened at Italie 2, Le Havre, Lille, Lyon, Marseille, Metz, Nancy, Nation, Parly 2, Rennes, Rouen, Strasbourg, Toulon and Vélizy. Since 2007, Printemps has begun a metamorphosis in order to reclaim its position as the best department stores in the world.
