PRBB (Barcelona Biomedical Research Park)

The Barcelona Biomedical Research Park (PRBB) is one of the largest biomedical research clusters in Southern Europe. The PRBB, an initiative of the Government of Catalonia, the City Council of Barcelona and the Pompeu Fabra University (UPF), is a large scientific infrastructure that is physically connected to the ‘Hospital del Mar de Barcelona’ and that gathers together six public research centres closely coordinated amongst them:Hospital del Mar Medical Research Institute (IMIM)Department of Experimental and Health Sciences of the Pompeu Fabra University (CEXS-UPF)Centre for Genomic Regulation (CRG)Institute of Global Health (ISGlobal)Institute of Evolutionary Biology (IBE: CSIC-UPF)EMBL BarcelonaAround 1400 people from 50 different countries work at PRBB.
