1. WHAT #ONO IS
It means Open to New Opportunities. We started it in 2017 to show you are open to work.
And in 2020, LinkedIn started #OpenToWork. They gamed the system to make it show up more and alert people about it. But #ONO still works better!

2. WHY USE #ONO
- There are 700M+ people on LinkedIn.
- Google says we only go 4 pages deep in searches
- Using #ONO is searchable in profiles and posts, and can be visible
Recruiters who pay for the premium LinkedIn Recruiter (US $10K+/yr) can search for just about any field. But they still only see a small segment of candidates. Why? Everyone creates profiles differently. And even ALL-STAR is not enough!
So recruiters and even hiring managers also rely on the free LinkedIn or Google searches.
3. HOW TO LEVERAGE
- Just adding it to your headline or any wording like "Seeking New Opportunities" is not enough - and may hurt!
- Expecting it alone to bring recruiters will NOT work! You must always show value 1st.
- Add it the right way and you can get found 1st out of that 700M+!
Choose #ONO as a company and you can get found in searches.
