The Office of the Deputy Mayor for Planning and Economic Development’s (DMPED) mission is to assist the Mayor in the coordination, planning, supervision, and execution of economic development efforts in the District of Columbia’s all 8 Wards. The goal is to create and preserve affordable housing, generate jobs, and increase tax revenue with the purpose of providing residents with pathways to the middle class.
