National Snow and Ice Data Center (NSIDC)

The National Snow and Ice Data Center (NSIDC) advances knowledgeof Earth’s frozen realms—its snow, ice, glaciers, and frozen groundthat make up the cryosphere. NSIDC makes cryospheric data meaningful and accessible with data access tools and user support, and broadens understanding of cryospheric change through collaborations with indigenous and international communities.NSIDC distributes more than 500 cryospheric data sets for researchers, from both satellite and ground observations.
