Mykolas Romeris University (MRU) is a university in the capital city of Vilnius, Lithuania, bearing the name of the Lithuanian legal scholar, judge and father of Lithuania's Constitutional Law Mykolas Römeris. Established in 2004, it is a public institution.
Mykolas Romeris University is a university focused on law, psychology, public governance and public security. Currently there are about 8,000 students from almost 50 countries. For international students the University offers Preparatory English Language Courses, Bachelor's, Master's and PhD study programmes in the English language and in the field of Social Sciences and Informatics.
The University offers a wide range of joint study programmes with partner Universities in Austria, France, Finland, Estonia, and South Korea. Such programmes give not only the opportunity to gain international experience and build a worldwide professional network, but also lead to double or triple diplomas. All students are encouraged to participate in International Exchange and Erasmus+ studies and internships. MRU’s international ties span all the regions of the globe. It has affiliations with more than 400 foreign academic and state institutions.
A recent international study, financed by the European Commission, indicated that MRU is one of the best universities in Central and Eastern Europe for creating and implementing social innovations.
