The acquisition of MetLife Limited and Metropolitan Life Insurance Company of Hong Kong Limited (collectively “the Companies”) by FWD Group (“FWD”)has been completed on 30 June, 2020 after regulatory approval. The controlling shareholder of the Companies has now changed to FWD Management Holdings Limited, a Hong Kong incorporated company of FWD. The Companies have become wholly owned subsidiaries of FWD.We’ll be renaming and rebranding the newly acquired business in the next few months, and more information on the new companies names and brand will be announced later.**Important Notice: Please be advised that following approval by the Hong Kong Insurance Authority, the FWD Group (“FWD”) has acquired MetLife Limited and Metropolitan Life Insurance Company of Hong Kong Limited (together, the “Companies”). MetLife is therefore no longer affiliated with the Companies and no longer responsible for matters related to the activities and insurance policies of the Companies.
