Inner Mongolia Mengniu Dairy (Group) Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Mengniu”) was founded in 1999 and is the fastest growing dairy enterprise in China. In 2004, Mengniu was listed in Hong Kong. In 2014, Mengniu became the first company in China's dairy industry selected as a constituent of the Hang Seng Index. Mengniu focuses on the production of dairy products that are more suitable for the Chinese people and has formed a product matrix with multiple categories such as liquid milk, ice cream, milk powder, cheese, and vegetable protein drinks. As of December 2017, Mengniu has established 38 production bases nationwide and has established a production base overseas, with an annual production capacity of 9.22 million tons. In 2017, Mengniu achieved an income of 60.156 billion yuan, ranking 10th in the global dairy industry rankings. Digitalization is one of Mengniu's corporate core strategies. The company continues to work hard to build smart milk enterprises through digital management and big data technology, establish a full industry chain management and full traceability system, and achieve continuous innovation in product quality control and marketing methods. In accordance with important instructions from President Xi Jinping, “Milk takes safety as a priority”, Mengniu strives to build a “Quality Cloud” management platform and realizes real-time monitoring of key information on pastures, factories, and markets. Through systems such as the Consumer Data Management Platform (DMP), and combined with social media and e-commerce channels, Mengniu achieved intelligent full-fledged supply chain management and accurately met consumer needs through big data analysis. Mengniu formed a smart manufacturing alliance with well-known domestic research institutions and companies to jointly develop a new model of intelligent manufacturing in the dairy industry and create a smart manufacturing digital factory. In 2016, Mengniu was awarded the title of "Intelligent Manufacturing Pilot Demonstration Enterprise"​ by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.
